WHAT IS A DTS?
A Discipleship Training School is six months of personally experiencing God and living the adventure of taking His message to those who don’t know him. Apply the truth of God to life and be further equipped to fulfill your purpose. It is a program consisting of two parts – lecture phase and outreach phase.
LECTURE PHASE: 3 MONTHS
Do you have a desire to know God more?
This phase will encourage you in your personal character development and help you cultivate a deeper relationship with God. Every week you will dive into the Bible and learn more of who God is and what He says. Through prayer and worship you will seek God’s heart for the nations and take up the authority Jesus gives you to see breakthrough and transformation.
Every week there will be a new topic taught by various speakers.
The topics are:
- Hearing God’s Voice
- Character and Nature of God
- Friendship with God through the Fear of the Lord
- Healing and Reconciliation
- Intercession and the Power of the Holy Spirit
- Fatherheart of God
- Worldview
- Lordship of Jesus
- Relationships
- Spiritual Warfare and Missions
- …and more.
OUTREACH PHASE: 3 MONTHS
Following the lecture phase, you will head off on a 8-week outreach. This is an opportunity to put into practice all that you have learnt during your lecture phase and demonstrate the love of God so that others can know him. We want to share the hope of Christ in South Sudan, by partnering with the local church to see people discipled. We will also have opportunities to reach people through evangelism, teaching and using the practical skills learnt on lecture phase. We will work with churches, non-government organisations, YWAM bases and anyone who loves Jesus and works to see God’s plans and purposes happen in the nation of South Sudan.
Together we will go wherever God leads and overcome any obstacles along the way, to seek out the lost and broken.

We believe that discipleship not only happens in the classroom but in every aspect of our lives; the way we work together, live together, resolve conflict and communicate. All students will live in dorms or campus housing so that, through relationship, discipleship and personal transformation can happen.

TESTIMONY
Before I did DTS, I didn’t know God deeply.
When I did DTS I felt God’s call to me to be transformed. The DTS changed my life. For 15 years before DTS I had unforgiveness towards my father. He had died and I wasn’t forgiving him. Through the teaching of the trauma healing I felt God heal my heart and I was able to forgive my father.
I also had prayed to God to be able to go to Congo for 5 years. Through the DTS God made a way for me to go to Congo. In Congo I saw that people were hungry for God. They are living in the jungle but they have a heart for God. I learned the heart of hospitality from them. One time we went to pray for the security of an area and all the soldiers kneeled down. At that moment I asked God, “who are we that these soldiers would kneel?” I had never seen this before. I heard God speak, “you are a child of God.”
